Leonardo, NJ from 12:30 to 2:30 PM
Attention residents:
We have been informed that the amount of plastic bags placed into residential recycling bins is contaminating the “single stream” recycling process. NO plastic bags AT ALL may be placed in your recycling containers. Effective immediately, NO plastic bags may be used when placing your recycling curbside for pick-up. Single stream recycling is to consist of ONLY cardboard, newspapers, glass bottles, cans, and plastic bottles with the recycling symbol on them, with a “1” or a “2” inside – none of which may be contaminated with food waste and the single stream is to be loose – NO PLASTIC BAGS AT ALL.

If you dispose of recycling in plastic bags, or place plastic bags in your recycling cans, it may not be picked up.

A Message From Our Chief of Police
